Power outage: what to do?

A power outage can happen to anyone at anytime and it usually happens when you are watching TV or trying to relax. There is nothing more frustrating than that. So what to do in the event a power outage occurs?

Here are 2 steps you need to follow to fix the problem:

- Electrical installation tripped.

An overload of consumption is among the most frequent causes of power outages. This means that there are too many electrical devices connected simultaneously and the electrical power of your home is not enough to satisfy all of them. In this case all you need to do is unplug some devices and then turn the circuit breaker back on.

-A short circuit: a damaged outlet or an electrical appliance is responsible.

Lower all circuit breakers and then raise them one at a time. If you detect that one of the fuses blows the current again, then the problem is in that room. Unplug all appliances in the room to find out if the problem is in a faulty appliance or an outlet that is causing a sort circuit.
